Hurry up Rince!

ShiwooIt all started with an avatar I’ve seen in one of the fora I frequent to. The girl used a picture of a ball jointed doll (BJD) as her main forum avatar and I was mightily curious where she got it. Knowing that its a BJD made things easier for me because all I had to do was search for it at Den of Angels.  After a few clicks, I ended up with the Korean company Dream of Doll and I almost wept at the sheer beauty of their dolls. That was already the point of no return because I was thinking that for sure I will buy one of these dollies in the near future.

Now choosing my first doll proved to be very hard because there are quite a number of dollies that caught my eye namely DoD’s Sha and Ducan and Soom’s Sabik. But just recently I discovered Fairyland’s LittleFees and I knew when I saw their Shiwoo that this is the doll that I’ve been waiting for. He looks exactly as  Rince, my character in Audition Online which my sister and I are so awfully fond of.

I love Sha but Rince is calling me.  So I finally ordered it at Fairyland’s site yesterday and  paid it via paypal today. Thank God for plastic cards!

Now, it’s the waiting game. 40 days before I can see Rince face-to-face. Please hurry up!

Water Nerdiness

A few minutes after lunch with the family has finished, I saw a pool of water on the verge of falling on the table’s glass panel. Normally, what people would think of was to wipe the water to prevent it from falling off the floor but during that indefinitely short period of time I was enraptured by the scene and immediately thought of surface tension. Yes, surface tension and not getting a piece of cloth. Surface tension, that property of a surface of a liquid that causes it to behave as an elastic sheet. I immediately asked my youngest sister what she thought of it and here’s how our conversation progressed:

Me: What do you think of that water trying to fall off?
Sarah: Gravity.
Me: Hmm. Possible. But more like friction?
Sarah: Ahh! Yep! The angle of the placemat makes it so.
Me: We really are of the same wavelength.
Sarah: Of course. Great minds think alike.

I am amazed with the power of the human brain to sift through years of information even though it has been stocked there from a long time ago.

It’s funny how I say I’m back only to be on hiatus for the past 3 months. That wasn’t really intentional but it was the lack of creative juices that dampened my writing in here. I’m having a hard time thinking of topics that can keep this bland blog interesting. Gone were the days when I randomly write about nothing. I guess that goes with the age.

These too go with the age:

PSP and DS!

Audition Online!

Oh noes! This is another of those hello world posts I have come to write each year.

Yes. I’m back. Again

Undersized Pants

In: Potpourri

23 May 2006

I never thought that buying a pair of denim pants could be so overwhelmingly distressful. For one, I’ve never bought a pair of pants for more than 1,000php so today’s little trip to the mall was certainly a record. I was always fine with those cheap pants you could even find on stalls beside the train station. Okay, that might be an exaggeration, but you get the point. So long as there’s no designer tab (i.e. no fake names that can fool you at first glance) that can be seen and I can wear the outfit without feeling like a hippo wearing tights. Why is it in the Philippines there seem to be a scarcity of pants for women who are on the *cough* extra large side? And I am certainly one of those flab girls I’m talking about. But I digress; my figure is not the matter at hand.

Hardu's Den

KeiLife is not going smoothly as I want it to be and pent-up emotions make way to momentary bouts of depression. I need a little place where I can contemplate on the things that are happening to me, a place where I can break away from the monotony of life and a place where I can release my inner devils. In the interest of honesty, I am not a good writer. Nevertheless, I will try to make this new blog/online journal an enjoyable experience for me.
